Marine Mammal Center - About
The ocean is in trouble. From the depletion of fish stocks to increasing ocean temperatures, human activity threatens marine ecosystems that are vital to the health of our ocean and all life on earth. As a critical first responder to these threats, The Marine Mammal Center is leading the field in ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue, veterinary science, and education. Marine mammals are ecosystem indicators, and the health of these animals provides insights into human and ocean health threats. Together, we are taking action today to support a network of scientists and stewards to protect our shared ocean environment for future generations.

About Science Speaker Series
The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is excited to host S³ (Science Speaker Series) for young scientists. Join us the third Saturday of the month at 2 PM!
Children 6 and older, and their families, are invited to the Children's Museum every THIRD Saturday of the month at 2 PM. Community groups and scientists working in many exciting fields will be on hand to talk about their work and answer questions. Every month brings a new topic. Join us for fun afternoons of learning about topics like animal rescue and conservation, sea life, pollinators, and more!
- Seating is limited, please arrive early!
- No pre-registration required
- Our S³ program is included in the admission cost, or membership, to the Museum
- Because seating is limited and the talks are developed specifically for older children, we ask that all attendees are 6 years and older.
The Children's Museum of Sonoma County thanks the Farley Family Charitable Foundation for supporting this program with their generous grant.
