DIY Science Explorer Kit Basics

Rent the Children’s Museum in a box! Our DIY Science Kits are easy to transport, ready-to-go engineering and science experiences for grades K – 4. The kits are perfect for any classroom and enhance lesson plans and curriculum. Each kit contains basic instructions, prompts for engagement, and an easy inventory and packing list. Each kit comes in 2 – 3 bins, with containers to hold all pieces, as well as an inventory list, ideas for set-up and engagement, and ways to extend the experience and learning afterwards. Use with one class or share with your fellow teachers.

DIY Science Explorer Kit Pricing & Registration

$75/week (Sunday - Friday)
*The kit will be available for pick-up on Sunday and must be returned by Friday at 4 PM. 
 

$50/weekend Weekend rental – earliest pick-up Friday latest return Monday.

Submit a request form to start the booking process. Our School and Community Programs Coordinator will email back with any follow-up questions and confirm your registration.

Important Information

Set-up and Breakdown

Set-up takes 15 – 20 minutes, please plan accordingly. We will be respectful of your teaching space while we set-up, you do need to be out of the classroom. Breakdown will happen immediately after the session.

Timing

If you would like to book multiple classes in a single day they need to be scheduled closely together. For example: either all sessions in the morning, or all sessions in the afternoon, please no split days or more than 30 minutes between sessions.

Expectations

A teacher, substitute, or classroom aid must remain with the class at all times
