Play Pal (Birthday Party Assistant)
Friendly and confident individual who is able to host multiple birthday parties on a given day. This individual needs to be adaptable, flexible, and comfortable communicating with birthday party groups. The Play Pal will be responsible for the set-up and break-down of each birthday party and facilitate on-site birthday activities such as making slime!
Membership & Front Desk Coordinator
CMOSC strives to make the Museum accessible to all families. Our The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is seeking an enthusiastic person for our Membership & Front Desk Coordinator position. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with exceptional communication and leadership skills, who thrives on working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a wide variety of job responsibilities and demands.
Highly motivated and outgoing individuals whose primary role is to provide exceptional experiences to all of our visitors through play, program facilitation, and policy enforcement. Playologists help with exhibit set-up and breakdown, encourage public interaction with exhibits, and ensure the Museum facility is clean and ready for visitors.
- Summer Camp Instructor
Camp Instructors are outgoing individuals who thrive on working with children in a dynamic and fun environment. They help provide exceptional experiences to all of our campers through play, and curriculum facilitation. This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position, with employment from June 5 - August 10, 2018.
- Outreach Assistant
The Children’s Museum seeks an experienced, outgoing, and bilingual educator to serve as a Museum-on-the-Go Assistant. This position reports directly to the Outreach Manager, and indirectly to the Director of Education. The Outreach Assistant helps the Outreach Manager deliver programs to school groups, library patrons, and community members at special events.
- Field Trip Docent
Reporting to the School and Community Programs Coordinator, Field Trip Docents incorporate a love of children with an interest in science and the arts to lead on-site field trips for early elementary students. This includes teaching curriculum, encouraging student interaction with exhibits, as well as helping with program set-up and breakdown. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.
