The Cultivating Curious Minds Capital Campaign will secure the funds for the first two phases of permanent Museum site.
Phase I: Mary’s Garden – an outdoor nature education garden, Ella’s Art Studio and the Dow Even Center
Phase II: Science & Imagination Gallery – including Wonder Works and Main Street Sonoma County, TOTTopia, Bubblemania, Welcome Pavilion and Founding Families Plaza
Phase I is secured! Mary’s Garden - The outdoor exhibit area has received a $1.83 million grant from Proposition 84 (passed in 2008) to prepare the outside with “Mary’s Garden” filled with pathways, exhibits, vegetation, agriculture learning experiences, gardening, insects, and all aspects “outdoors and in nature.” Design and development preparations are complete, and ground was broken in July 2013.
Phase II: - We are now in a second phase focusing with the museum interior, exhibits, and structural upgrades. The goal of the Cultivating Curious Minds Capital Campaign is to raise the funds to finish the work and fully open to the public in 2014.
