The Museum is currently looking to hire a Front Desk Receptionist
. We are seeking an enthusiastic person for our Front Desk Receptionist position, an integral part of day to day operations and the forward face of the Museum to all visitors. The Front Desk Receptionist primarily interacts with families as they enter the Museum, processes admission and membership purchases, answers Museum phone calls, and completes administrative tasks while maintaining the highest standards of friendly, helpful, and responsive visitor service at all times. This position operates independently and handles a high volume of activity in a dynamic environment.
This is an hourly, non-exempt part-time position for 16-24 hours/week.
Must be available 1 to 2 week days, at least 1 weekend day, and able to work holidays & school breaks.
Shifts are 8:00-4:30 or 10:00-2:00. Schedule to be set upon hiring.

The Museum is currently looking for Interns who are interested in assisting in the development of art, science and early childhood education programming for Museum visitors. Interns would work both on and off the floor helping to develop, prep and facilitate public programming.
The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is currently seeking interns to become “Playologists”. This is a part-time position that provides experience working with children in a learning-through-play environment. The Children’s Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Schedules may be flexible to accommodate class schedules and hours may be negotiated.
