Let the Magic Begin!
If you're planning wine adventures in Wine Country, be sure to plan time to let your kids explore the wonder of The Children's Museum of Sonoma County.
The Children's Museum of Sonoma County is designed for children ten and younger and offers hands-on, interactive exhibits and activities focused on art, nature and science. Our goal is to inspire children's creativity and curiosity to discover their world through playful exploration of arts and sciences. Our exhibits are rooted in current early childhood research and development.
Just a Few Highlights:
Get blown-away by the AirMazing exhibit: a 15-foot high, floor-to ceiling maze of tubes that use kid-directed airflow to move objects through them in surprising and fun ways.
Be sure to buzz around in the BeeHaven exhibit.
Send an invisible puff of air across the room using the Air Cannons.
Let your little builder loose in the Nuts & Bolts Hardware Store where they can build things using various materials and even dress up like a real construction worker.
Enjoy the Flavortown Kids Café and Kitchen where your budding chef will delight in the kid-sized stainless steel stove top, utensils and diner atmosphere.
Don't miss the hands-on fun outdoors in Mary's Garden.
Soak up the pleasures of water in the Mechanical Waterplay area where kids can build water contraptions or discover how hydroelectricity works. Go fishing for salmon in the Russian River exhibit or jump over to the gravel pit area where bubbling rocks are sure to delight and entertain you.
Enjoy the coolness of the Redwood Fairy Ring among a grouping of native California redwoods and maybe catch a storytime with a Playologist.
There's a Crocodile Dental Clinic, a Head-2-Toe Health and Science lab, a Puppet Theater, Jesse's Train Station, miniature train city and so much more!
And for our smallest of visitors, there's the TOTopia interactive play space for crawlers and toddlers under 2.5 years old (or under 35" in height).
The Children's Museum of Sonoma County accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Families in need are welcome to apply for admission passes and scholarships for memberships through the Children's Museum's Family Access Program or the Sonoma County Library Discover & Go Program.
