Meet Nancy Nelle
Nancy is one of our VERY first volunteers! She was at the groundbreaking event and drove all the way from Sacramento to attend. In Feb. of 2015, Nancy started “Musical Moments” - the weekly music and movement program at CMOSC. Four years later it is still going strong and delights guests each week. To this day, Nancy volunteers her time EVERY Thursday and puts on “Musical Moments” for our guests. Nancy has volunteered OVER 400 HOURS!!
Where did you grow up? I was born in Marin County, but I grew up mostly in Sacramento. I enjoyed lots of singing in school choirs and at camps. If only my choir teachers could see me now and realize what an influence they had on my life. What is something people may not know about you? I play ukulele in a large group called The Ukulelians. We played at the Sonoma County Fair last summer and I sang a solo during this performance. What do you love about volunteering at CMOSC? Volunteering at the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is such fun not only because of the wonderful families that support the music program, but also because of the friendly and helpful museum staff. Thanks to everyone!
