How You Can Help the Children's Museum of the North Bay Grow?
The Children's Museum of Sonoma County has made tremendous progress so far. We need your help to make this dream come true. The most important quality we seek in our volunteers is reliability. Whether it's volunteering a couple of hours at a MUSEUM-ON-THE-GO booth event or heading up a committee, your help is greatly appreciated.
Landscape Project Manager & General Landscape AssistanceThis is a wonderful way for someone with professional landscaping experience to give back to the community by helping maintain this blossoming campus! The Children's Museum needs a dedicated volunteer project manager to oversee landscaping and landscaping systems in Mary's Garden and throughout the site. The project manager will help recruit and direct a group of volunteers to be responsible for plantings/turf/hardscape maintenance and related equipment, chemicals, fertilizers, irrigation systems, improvements and safety. Visit our Site Plans & Progress page http://www.cmosc.org/site_plans_progress.html to see sketches of the campus, including the enchanting Mary’s Garden, and contact Eleanor Gorman for a detailed job description (www.Eleanor@cmosc.org or 707-546-4069).
Museum-on-the-go and now ON-SITE Exhibit Play Facilitators
Join the ranks of our fabulous MUSEUM-ON-THE-GO volunteers by attending a school or community event for a couple of hours and explaining our exhibits to visitors and answering questions about the progress of the museum. It's a great opportunity to witness the wonder and joy that children experience as they discover new ideas. It’s also a great way to become acquainted with our wonderful community of volunteers and receive up-to-date progress reports on the museum.
And… now you can volunteer at the Museum, too!! Sign up now to learn how you can start volunteering as an exhibit play facilitator for special events this winter and also after the Museum opens this spring.
