Sonoma Water: What Can Bugs Teach Us About Water Quality?
July 28 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Come Explore the Wonder and Diversity of Aquatic Macroinvertebrates from the Russian River Watershed!
This is a great hands-on activity for people of all ages. Educators from Sonoma Water will demonstrate how to use a pipette and petri dish to collect and observe invertebrates under a microscope!
Visitors will be able to explore the invertebrates under a microscope, make observations, identify the invertebrates, and learn how this can help indicate the quality of the water in creeks and rivers! Visitors may also explore a model of where our water comes from and ask our educators about our water system and the impacts of drought.
