Fifty tons of fresh snow will be delivered to the back parking lot of the museum. Our snow area will feature a toboggan hill for the entire family to enjoy! Toddlers will love our many programs dedicated to the science of snow, along with new all-ages activities throughout the Museum – including blizzard machines that make snow flurries!

Fundraisers make it possible for the Children’s Museum to offer Museum Access For All programs and to continue to be a valuable resource for the entire community.

I don’t have any kids, but can I come and check out the snow?

For safety reasons, no adults are allowed in to the Museum unaccompanied by children.

Can I drop my kids off to play in the snow and come back for them later?

No, for safety reasons, all children must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at ALL times.

The last group for the day will be allowed on the toboggan run at 2:45pm.  All days will include periodic breaks to refresh the snow.

Will there be a separate area for toddlers?

No; this year, we will offer sensory experiences for toddlers, including a blizzard machine creating snow flurries.

Can I bring my snow toys from home?

In an effort to reduce lost items and confusion, we strongly encourage you to leave your snow toys at home. There will NOT be a free play snow area to use snow toys.

Should I dress for snow?

Yes, the snow is fine crushed ice, and will be cold and wet.  If you do not choose to wear snow clothes, we encourage you to bring a change of clothes.

If your parking lot is full, where can I park?
