Ideas or Inquiries
We all love trains, and they’re a great way to help your little discover shapes! With just a few simple supplies, your child will “chug-chug” along through the magical world of triangles, quadrangles, and maybe even a dodecagon!
Supplies:
- Toy trains
- Masking or Painters Tape
Directions:
On your floor, use the tape to make simple shapes, such as:
- Triangle
- Square/rectangle (a quadrilateral)
- Dodecagon if you’re up for the challenge (that’s 12 sides!)
Your child will then use their toy trains and follow the “tracks” made by the tape.
