Bring people together on a larger scale! If you want to host a bigger private event for your family, friends, company, or organization, we’re here to provide the perfect space.

With exclusive access to the Museum for just you and your guests, your event at the Children’s Museum will surely be unforgettable.

Private Events

Reserve all open areas of the Museum exclusively for you and your guests for two hours of fun! Large Private Events may be reserved for the following dates and times:


  • Museum admission for hosts and guests
  • 30-minute pre-party set-up time
  • 3 pop-up tables and 10 chairs
  • Current museum members receive a discount! Not a member? Join today!
  • 1 microphone/speaker (available upon request)
  • Exclusive access to Mary’s Garden and the Science and Imagination Gallery

  • Event for up to 100 people (Kids & Adults) – $2,000
  • Event for up to 150 people (Kids & Adults) – $2,800
  • Event for up to 200 people (Kids & Adults) – $3,600

Available Add-ons:

  • Additional tables and chairs package (up to 2 additional tables and 10 additional chairs): $150
  • 2 Pop-up tents: $100
  • Additional hour for your event: $500
  • Art Studio: $1,000

Private Events Policies

  • Payment in full is required at least two weeks before the event date. Any event not provided full payment may be subject to cancellation.
  • Access in and out of the museum is limited to the front entrance only.
  • A picnic area is available if you wish to bring food and/or drinks. The host is responsible for providing all food and beverages.
  • Food and drinks must remain in the picnic area only.
  • Unless previously approved by Museum Team. Please do not bring alcohol, drinks in glass bottles, or foods containing peanuts.
  • Outside entertainers, performers, vendors, or live animals will only be permitted with prior approval.
  • Party set up may only begin at 4:00 PM in the outdoor picnic area after the museum has been closed to the public and exhibits reset. If guests arrive prior to 4:30 PM, they will be paid for after the event is over.


  • The Children’s Museum is committed to minimizing our impact on our shared environment through active education and leading by example. We provide recycling and compost bins to encourage green choices. Please assist us by being mindful of this when considering what decorations to bring.
  • Please limit all decorations to approved areas only. Please bring your own tablecloths, napkins, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, etc.
  • Please do not bring ANY balloons, inflatables, pinatas, glitter, or confetti onto the premises.
  • Please do not bring any decorations that must be hung, taped, or otherwise attached to the Museum property.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • For cancellations more than 14 days before the event: you will receive a full refund, minus a $500 non-refundable deposit
  • Cancellations within 14 days before the event or rescheduled will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • In the event that the Children’s Museum should have to cancel a reservation for unforeseen circumstances, you will be issued a full refund or may choose to reschedule on an alternative available date.
  • Cancellations due to forecasted rain are subject to the policies listed above. Covered eating areas are not available in the event of rain.
