Museum Access for All
At the Children’s Museum, we are committed to ensuring access for all families, allowing underserved children and families in our community to experience, learn, and grow with enrichment in the areas of science, art and the natural world. Inspiring curiosity and creativity through joyful, transformative experiences is our mission for all children. This is critical for early childhood education and the health and wellness of children. Make a difference and donate towards our Museum Accessibility for All Programs to ensure all children have access to this important resource.
Museums for All
The Museums for All (MFA) Program provides access to families receiving EBT financial support to gain free or reduced admission to more than 300 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their EBT card. The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is a part of the MFA initiative, and currently serves 350+ visitors per month through MFA. We are grateful for the support of our lead corporate MFA sponsor, Medtronic.
Family Access to the Museum
The Family Access Membership (FAM) Program is designed to serve families in need who may not be able to afford the Museum experience. This past year, the FAM program distributed 380 reduced cost memberships to families in need, allowing over 1,100 children and 950 adults to visit the Museum with reduced admission for 6 months. With the generous support of FAM sponsors, more children will discover, learn and explore together – building strong families and a stronger community.
Access for School Kids
The Access for School Kids (ASK) Program is designed to allow students access to the Children's Museum of Sonoma County's educational programming and exhibits regardless of geographic or socio-economic barriers. Our ASK Program opens doors to enriching science-based learning opportunities both at CMOSC and on school campuses. Generous donations to ASK provide access for students in Sonoma County as well as neighboring counties by funding costs for school classes to visit the Museum and underwriting Museum-on-the-Go school visits.
