Welcome to Funtazmagoria! Extended by two weeks this year, see the Children’s Museum transform into a family-friendly Mad Scientist and Glow in the Dark Art Studio.

 
Our Mad Scientist Lab will be a walk through experience with potions, creepy critters, and electric exploration. Located in the Dow Event Center be sure to greet our Mad Scientist as you pass through! The Art Studio will be outfitted with everything Glow in the Dark. Spider webs, ghostly shapes, and slime will all change form in varying lights. We will also have themed programing each day to enhance your spooky experience.

The Mad Scientist Lab and Glow Studio will run:

  • October 18 to October 31, 2019

  • 9am to 3pm, Wednesdays through Mondays

  • These spooky spaces will be included with general admission.


Sunday October 27, 2019 | 10am-3pm

*Museum open until 4pm
*Please note: NO member hours Sunday

Bring your family to Funtazmagoria, where we will parade in costumes, watch pumpkins fall from the sky, fling eyeballs and create your own magic potions. Funtazmagoria’s enchanted fun will run from 10am-3pm.

FUNtazmagoria FAQ’s

I heard you are extending FUNtazmagoria this year, what does that entail?

Yes! The Museum will be extending the Mad Scientist Lab and Glow Studio so that guests can experience the fun for two weeks prior to the FUNtazmagoria Event. The Mad Scientist Lab and Glow Studio will be open October 18th to October 31st , 9am to 3pm, Wednesday through Mondays.There is no additional fee.

FUNtazmagoria is a family friendly experience and is meant for all ages.

What kind of activities will be at FUNtazmagoria?

Don’t miss our annual celebration of all things creepy and fun! Spook-tacular activities will include a Pumpkin Plop, Mad Scientist Laboratory, Glow-in-the-Dark art, and more. Costumes encouraged for kids and grownups! This year we will welcome DJ Mancub for groovy beats to boogie the day away.


What is the cost to attend FUNtazmagoria?

You can attend FUNtazmagoria with just your museum admission of $12, members are free. There will be additional fees for concessions and face painting.


Will I need my membership card or ID?

We will have a separate member check-in desk at the entrance to the museum, please bring your membership card with you to ensure faster check-in. If you bring guests with you, not covered by your membership, you will need to pay for them through the main entrance.


If your parking lot is full, where can I park?

Please park on the street, in the neighborhood. We encourage you to carpool if possible. We will have maps available to show the additional parking areas. Please do not park in the Schulz Museum or Ice Arena parking lots.


Will there be food available?

We always have a healthy vending machine on site.
