A Ph.D. biologist running Nature-based Wonder Camps? No way!
After spending all his time at the Children’s Museum with his three kids, Dr. Dan Levitis became our Camps Manager and Volunteer Manager! A father, environmental educator, and zoologist, Dr. Dan is driven to nurture kids’ innate wonder for nature. His very excited to start this next chapter with the Children’s Museum and inspire a lifelong love of nature in the next generation.

Wonder Camp FAQs
SPRING BREAK WONDER CAMP (One Week)
-March 17 to 21, 2025: Spring Adventures: Discover the wonders of nature as everything comes back to life!
SUMMER WONDER CAMP
Session 1 (Two Weeks):
-June 9 to 13, 2025: Nature Explorer’s Toolbox: Gear up and learn the must-have tools every junior naturalist needs.
-June 16 to 20, 2025: Hop, Slither, and Slide: Meet fascinating reptiles and slippery amphibians up close!
Session 2 (Two Weeks):
-June 23 to 27, 2025: Underground Mysteries: Dig deep into the hidden world beneath our feet.
-June 20 to July 3, 2025: Super Senses Safari: Unlock the secret superpowers animals use to survive and thrive.( Please NOTE: No camp on July 4, 2025).
Session 3 (Two Weeks):
-July 7 to 11, 2025: Splash into Water Wonders: Dive into the science of water and the amazing creatures that call it home.
-July 14 to 18, 2025: Bird Watcher’s Paradise: Take flight into the world of feathers, beaks, and birdsong!
Session 4 (Two Weeks):
-July 21 to 25, 2025: Garden Explorers: Get your hands dirty while discovering the magic of plants and flowers.
-July 28 to August 1, 2025: Adventures in Air & Space: Explore the skies and outer space!
Session 5 (One Week):
-August 4 to August 8, 2025: Big Ideas in Biology: Discover the incredible changes in animals, plants, and dinosaurs throughout time.
Wonder Camps are grouped into two week sessions with the exception of Spring Break Wonder Camp (one week-March 17 to 21, 2025) and the final week of Summer Camp (one week-August 4 to 8, 2025).
Wonder Camp Cost $390 per week.
Museum Members Receive a 10% on Wonder Camps.
Aftercare $50 per week.
*Unfortunately, the Museum is not offering Access Discounts on Camps at this time.
