Get ready to dig in at the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County! FUNstruction, taking place Friday, September 25, 2026 from 4:30 to 8:00 PM, is a one-of-a-kind Family Fun Night celebrating all things construction while kicking off the next exciting chapter of the Museum’s future.
Join us as we celebrate the groundbreaking of the Museum’s expansion with an evening packed full of hands-on building adventures, big machines, and unforgettable family fun—including a special ceremonial demolition to mark the beginning of construction!
Here’s what’s in store:
- 🚜 Explore impressive construction vehicles and heavy machinery on display, thanks to our partners at GMH Builders and Broderick General Engineering
- 🔨 Build, create, and experiment with hands-on construction-themed activities and engineering challenges
- 💥 Be part of the excitement as we celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Museum expansion
- 🍺 Local craft beer provided by Parliament Brewing Company and 🍷 Sonoma County wines for the grown-ups (available for purchase)
- 🍔 Delicious eats from local food trucks (available for purchase)

Get ready for a night of spooktacular fun at the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County! Family FUNtaz Night, Thursday & Friday, October 22 & 23, 2026 from 4:30pm to 8:00 PM is the perfect way to kick off Halloween weekend with thrills, giggles, and plenty of memory-making.
Here’s what’s brewing:
- 🍺 Tasty brews and Local wines for the grown-ups (available for purchase)
- 🍔 Delicious eats from local food trucks (available for purchase)
- 🎶 Rockin’ tunes
- 🎨 Hands-on spooky crafts, creepy science experiments, and silly surprises from our classic FUNtazmagoria weekend
- 👻 Costumes encouraged—kids, parents, and even grandparents, come dressed in your Halloween best!
Bring the whole family for a magical evening of pumpkins, potions, music, and mayhem. It’s Halloween fun like only the Museum can do!
Please Note: Classic FUNtazmagoria will be transforming in 2026 and 2027 as the Children’s Museum undergoes its exciting expansion project. During this time, we invite families to join us for Family FUNtaz Night, a special evening event that will take place in lieu of FUNtazmagoria. We look forward to bringing back FUNtazmagoria once construction is complete!

Blast off for an evening of cosmic fun at the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County! Join us on Friday, March 12, 2027, from 4:30–8:00 PM for Family Fun Night – Outta This World, an after-hours adventure filled with space-themed exploration, hands-on activities, and stellar family fun.
Travel through the galaxy as you explore the Museum after hours with interactive experiences that are truly out of this world. Whether you’re an aspiring astronaut, curious scientist, or alien enthusiast, there’s something for everyone!

All proceeds from signature events like Family Fun Nights go toward supporting our mission to inspire curiosity and creativity through joyful, transformative experiences. Fundraisers at the Children’s Museum allow us to offer programs like our Museum Access Program, as well as allow us to function as a valuable community resource.
