All aboard the laughter express at the Children’s Museum with our annual Great Train Days event! Bring your little engineers and let’s make tracks for a train-themed, fun-filled day.

We’re chugging full steam ahead with our train-tastic event, the Great Train Days. This event is perfect for kids of all ages. Explore our train-themed exhibits and get ready to choo-choo-choose your favorite locomotive activity. Come view model trains and meet our neighborhood train experts, including the Redwood Empire Garden Railway Society and Coastal Valley Lines. Your little conductor can even build their own train tracks, dance to train music, or take a ride on the Live Steamers train!

What are the hours of Train Days?

Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

If your parking lot is full, where can I park?

We encourage carpooling; parking in the Children’s Museum’s lot is limited. If our parking lot is full, please find parking on West Steele Lane, Hardies Lane, or Range Ave.  

What kind of activities will be at Train Days?

Enjoy a fun and educational day for your train-loving children! Build your own Brio train in our DIY train exhibit, ride on a miniature train, and get up close to unique and elaborate model train displays courtesy of the Redwood Empire Garden Railway Society and Coastal Valley Lines. There will also be an interactive train display showcased by The Diablo Pacific Short Line.

Will there be food available?

We always have healthy snacks in our gift corner. Outside food and drink are allowed at designated picnic areas!
