Playologist

The Children’s Museum is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing person for our Playologist position. Playologists are integral to the day-to-day operations and overall success of the Children’s Museum. They are highly motivated and outgoing individuals whose primary role is to provide exceptional experiences to all of our visitors through play, program facilitation, and policy enforcement. Playologists help with exhibit set-up and breakdown, encourage public interaction with exhibits, and ensure the Museum facility is clean and ready for visitors. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, self-motivated individual who thrives on working with families in a dynamic environment with a wide variety of job responsibilities and demands. This position reports to the Visitor Experiences Manager and the Director of Programs.

Assistant Camp Instructor - Summer Camp

The Children’s Museum is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing person for our Assistant Instructor position for Summer Camp sessions June 13-Aug 12, 2016. Assistant Instructors are integral to the Museum’s drop-off programs. The Assistant Instructor’s primary role is to help facilitate program curriculum based on themes like science, art, and nature. They provide exceptional experiences to all of our campers through play, facilitation and policy enforcement. The Assistant Instructor is expected to help: set-up for camp before campers arrive, cleanup at the end of the session, sign campers in out, provide snack, and supervises campers during their lunch (if applicable). The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who thrives on working with children in a dynamic environment. This position reports to Director of Programs and Education Specialist. This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position.
