Visitor Experience Manager

The Visitor Experience Manager is integral to the daily operations of the Children’s Museum. They hire, train, schedule and manage the Museum’s floor staff (Playologists). The ideal candidate will have experience in hiring, training, scheduling, and managing staff members. The candidate will be outgoing, organized and able to follow-through with designated tasks in an efficient manner.

Lead Field Trip Docent

The Children’s Museum is seeking a skilled, energetic educator who possesses excellent communication, group management, instruction and interpersonal skills for our Lead Field Trip Docent position. The Lead Field Trip Docent’s primary role is to provide exceptional field trip experiences for teachers, students, and parents. The Lead Field Trip Docent is responsible for all Field Trip activities on the day of the Field Trip. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, self-motivated individual who thrives on working with teachers and students in a dynamic environment. This position reports to Director of Programs and is a part-time (5-6 hours/day for 4-6 days/month) non-exempt position. This position could be shared with two leads.

Playologist

Highly motivated and outgoing individuals whose primary role is to provide exceptional experiences to all of our visitors through play, program facilitation, and policy enforcement. Playologists help with exhibit set-up and breakdown, encourage public interaction with exhibits, and ensure the Museum facility is clean and ready for visitors.

Front Desk Receptionist

The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is seeking an enthusiastic person for our Front Desk Receptionist position, which is an integral part of day-to-day operations and the forward face of the Museum for all visitors. The Front Desk Receptionist primarily interacts with families as they enter the Museum, processes admission and membership purchases, answers Museum phones, and completes administrative tasks while maintaining the highest standards of friendly, helpful, and responsive visitor service at all times. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who thrives on working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a wide variety of job responsibilities and demands.
