If it wasn’t for these four fabulous gentlemen, the Museum would not have its beautiful live train exhibit that spans almost the entire perimeter of the Science and Imagination Gallery. Jim, Bob, John, and Doug were vital contributors to the layout, design, and construction of the train track and even built the massive tunnel seen above the “Train Town” exhibit. However, Jim, Bob, John, and Doug’s volunteer service did not stop with the construction of the train track. For the last 5 years these four dedicated gentlemen have been coming into the Museum for about 2 hours per week (EVERY week) to clean and maintain the trains and tracks. Collectively they have clocked over 1,000 volunteer hours since they began volunteering at the Museum, and they help make Train Days an extra special event every summer.
