Winter Lights & Ice Skating in Courthouse Square
Every year, Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa transforms into a winter wonderland during the holidays! November 29th through the new year, sparkling lights and festive decorations fill downtown with a variety of different events happening all season long.
Annual Tree Lighting Celebration: November 29th
The Winter Lights holiday festivities kick off with the annual Tree Lighting Celebration held on November 29th every year. This free family-friendly event opens with the official lighting of the Courthouse Square Tree. Children and families can also enjoy fun activities, seasonal drinks and treats, ice skating performances, and more.

Skating on the Square: December – The New Year
One of the most beloved Santa Rosa traditions is Skating on the Square! The Winer Lights outdoor ice skating rink offers a fun break from the normal hustle and bustle of the season and is a magical experience for both kids and caregivers alike.
