Creative Construction Vocabulary

Construction: The process, art, or manner of building something
Structure: A thing made up of a number of parts joined together in a certain way
Angle: When two (2) lines meet at a shared point; they are measured in degrees
Design: A plan or drawing of an idea that shows how something might look or function
Force: A push or pull on an object that makes it move
Gravity: A force that attracts a body to the center of Earth

Instructions For Creative Construction Activity

1. Using the pencil and blue cards, sketch ideas to plan your design. Can you think of something useful to build? The ideas are endless!
2. Use the modeling clay to attach the craft sticks together at the ends to make angles or along the edges for straighter attachments. You do not need very much modeling clay, but you may have to play with it to make it more pliable. You also may have to add more as you add new connections.

1. Building with craft sticks is a fun way to learn about physics, structure, and design. It is also a great chance to get creative and use your imagination.
2. Describe your structure to someone: a friend, a family member, or your teacher. Write about it.

Instrucciones
